About the Job
A sales opportunity is available for an experienced Sales Coordinator at Tembisa West. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, delivering excellent customer service, coordinating deliveries and maintaining high store operating standards.
The role requires someone with strong numerical abilities, good organisational skills and the confidence to manage customer enquiries, prepare accurate quotations and support daily store operations.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) with at least five years of relevant work experience, or a minimum of ten years of related working experience.
- Good communication skills in English and the predominant local language.
- Strong numerical and calculation abilities.
- Computer literacy.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Strong planning, organisation and delegation skills.
- Experience reading building plans will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales and Quotations
- Prepare, issue and follow up on customer quotations to secure sales.
- Ensure special orders are quoted and processed correctly.
- Interpret building plans and provide accurate quotations within agreed deadlines.
- Handle telephone enquiries and maintain regular communication with customers.
- Monitor competitor pricing and market activities.
- Promote customer loyalty programmes, including VIC and Charge Card services.
2. Delivery Coordination
- Coordinate deliveries to ensure orders reach customers efficiently.
- Confirm that the correct delivery charges are applied.
- Monitor dispatch schedules and ensure deliveries leave on time.
- Inform customers about delays and arrange suitable solutions where necessary.
3. Customer Service
- Oversee customer service desk activities.
- Handle complaints, record issues and ensure they are resolved promptly.
- Maintain professional telephone etiquette.
- Ensure every customer receives assistance and quality service.
4. Store Operations and Standards
- Maintain store readiness and housekeeping standards.
- Ensure advertised prices and price changes are correctly implemented.
- Monitor product displays and planogram compliance.
- Coordinate daily operational duties within the assigned areas.
5. Staff Coordination
- Supervise General Assistants, Sales Advisors and Forklift Drivers within the area of responsibility.
- Ensure employees are available to assist customers.
- Arrange suitable backup staff and support employee training.
- Monitor daily duties and ensure operational tasks are completed.
6. Health, Safety and Security
- Ensure workplace health and safety procedures are followed.
- Check that employees use appropriate protective clothing and equipment.
- Remain alert to suspicious activities within and around the store.
- Maintain proper password and information security practices.
