Job Purpose
The main purpose of this position is to ensure that patients are transported safely and efficiently between different hospital departments and units.
The Porter will also assist with moving medical equipment, wheelchairs and patient trolleys while ensuring that all transportation activities are carried out according to hospital procedures and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
The appointed candidate will be expected to perform various duties to support the smooth operation of hospital services.
Responsibilities include:
- Transport patients safely between hospital departments, wards and other designated areas.
- Follow instructions from the relevant departments and hospital units when carrying out patient transportation duties.
- Report to assigned work areas on time and complete porter responsibilities as required.
- Assist healthcare staff with lifting and transferring patients in accordance with Clinix Health Group’s policies and procedures.
- Ensure the safe movement of wheelchairs, trolleys and medical equipment throughout the hospital.
- Collect and deliver X-rays, medical reports and other important documents to the correct departments.
- Deliver patient files and administrative documentation when requested.
- Handle patients, hospital equipment and documents with care and responsibility.
- Maintain confidentiality when dealing with patient information and other sensitive hospital matters.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with patients, visitors and hospital employees.
