Motus Corporation is inviting suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the Driver/Cleaner position at its Auto Pedigree branch in Umgeni, Durban.
Auto Pedigree is a recognised supplier of quality pre-owned vehicles with low mileage, operating through more than 70 branches across the country. The company is looking for a reliable, responsible and customer-focused individual who can assist with vehicle deliveries, collections, cleaning and general operational duties.
This permanent opportunity is suitable for someone with a valid driving licence, previous driving experience and the ability to maintain professional standards when dealing with customers and business partners.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Umgeni branch through safe transportation, vehicle maintenance and general cleaning duties.
Main responsibilities include:
- Cleaning vehicle interiors and exteriors to ensure that all vehicles meet the company’s presentation standards.
- Delivering vehicles to customers safely and according to established company procedures.
- Collecting and transporting vehicles, documents and other items to designated locations.
- Delivering and collecting important documentation from banks, suppliers and customers.
- Inspecting vehicles and identifying problems that may affect their quality or roadworthiness.
- Reporting expired vehicle licences and any other issues that do not meet company requirements.
- Keeping the branch premises clean, organised and presentable.
- Following company policies, safety procedures and applicable transport regulations.
- Protecting company vehicles, equipment and customer property.
- Maintaining professional conduct and acting in the best interests of the business.
- Performing additional operational duties when requested by management.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered for this position:
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
- At least two years of relevant driving experience.
- A valid Code 08 (Code B) driver’s licence without endorsements.
- Own reliable transport.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English when interacting with customers.
- Must be fully bilingual.
- Ability to read and understand maps and follow directions.
- Good knowledge of road safety and responsible driving practices.
