Key Responsibilities
As a Light Duty Driver, you will be the essential link between our dealership, suppliers, and customers. Your daily tasks will include:
· Parts Delivery & Collection: Safely deliver parts to external suppliers, other branches, and directly to customers. Collect parts from various locations as required.
· Vehicle Safety Checks: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to check for defects, damages, and overall roadworthiness. Ensure vehicles are locked and keys are secured in the designated key box or with reception.
· Cargo Integrity: Ensure that all parts are handled with care, remain in perfect condition, and are secured properly during transit to prevent damage.
· Customer Service: Assist customers personally during parts delivery, representing Motus Toyota with professionalism and a helpful attitude.
· Incident Reporting: Immediately report any accidents, traffic offences, or vehicle damages to your Supervisor.
· Ad-hoc Duties: Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department to support the team.
· Overtime Flexibility: Be willing and available to work overtime when required to meet business demands.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
· Education: A minimum of Grade 12 / Matric is essential.
· Licensing: A valid and unendorsed driver’s license is mandatory.
· Permit: Must possess a Professional Driving Permit (PDP) .
· Background: Must have a clear criminal record (verification will be conducted).
· Experience: Previous driving experience is advantageous; however, a strong sense of responsibility and safety is non-negotiable.
· Soft Skills:
· Strong customer orientation with a friendly demeanor.
· Excellent verbal communication skills.
· A collaborative team orientation and the ability to work independently.
· High attention to detail regarding vehicle condition and paperwork.
