Overview
We are currently looking for five (5) dedicated and reliable General Worker Assistants to join our site operations in Gauteng. The successful candidates will provide essential support to site teams, assist with daily operational tasks, and help maintain a safe and clean working environment.
This is a temporary position ideal for individuals with a hands-on approach who are eager to learn and contribute to a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
As a General Worker Assistant, your duties will include:
· Operational Support: Collaborate with site teams to assist in achieving daily operational goals and targets.
· Site Inspections: Conduct daily inspections of your designated area, promptly reporting any deviations, hazards, or irregularities to supervisors.
· Pipeline Assistance: Support pipeline and valve operations under the close supervision of experienced team members.
· Problem Solving: Assist in identifying operational challenges and escalate issues to site teams as needed.
· General Site Activities: Perform various assigned site activities to support smooth and continuous operations.
· Housekeeping: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and order in work areas to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
· Compliance: Execute all tasks strictly in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company guidelines.
· Safety: Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and procedures at all times.
Requirements
Education
· Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent qualification.
Experience
· A minimum of one (1) year of relevant working experience in a similar role or industrial environment.
Skills & Competencies
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work effectively within a team.
· Good listening skills and ability to follow instructions.
· High attention to detail.
· Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
· Strong safety consciousness.
General Requirements
· Must be physically, mentally, and medically fit to perform the duties required.
· Willing and able to work rotating shifts as required.
· Available to work overtime from time to time.
· Must pass screening, including criminal background checks.
