Claims must be adjusted appropriately, ensuring that the merits of each claim align with Sasria’s policy cover provisions. Learners will be responsible for verifying that all supporting documents related to the quantum of the claim are received and that all calculations are correct.
Document diary maintenance on the IMS system will be a regular task, ensuring that all files are up to date and compliant with internal procedures. Learners will update reserves in accordance with the reserving policy and maintain regular follow-ups on outstanding proof of quantum.
Critical thinking and sound judgment are essential, as learners will analyze claims exposure to determine the proper course of action and settle claims appropriately within their delegated authority. Claims that fall within the learner’s authority level will be approved after thorough verification of all documents and validation against policy cover.
Complex or contentious claims must be escalated to the Supervisor for further review and guidance. Learners will also manage external resources involved in the claims process, ensuring all actions align with Sasria’s procedures and philosophy.
Regular updates must be recorded on the system to ensure that all notes accurately reflect the latest status of each claim. Learners will inform the underwriting department of any gaps in cover, omitted documents, as well as losses or gains on premium that are identified during claims processing.
