The successful candidate will support the dealership by transporting vehicles safely between various locations while also assisting with other operational duties when required. This role is well suited to someone who is dependable, customer-focused, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Heavy Duty Driver, your daily responsibilities may include:
- Collecting vehicles from customers, suppliers, and other company branches.
- Delivering vehicles to customers, suppliers, and designated destinations safely and on time.
- Moving vehicles within the dealership premises as required.
- Assisting customers by locating and presenting vehicles during collection.
- Transporting vehicles for roadworthy inspections when necessary.
- Reporting any accidents, vehicle damage, or traffic violations immediately to management.
- Following company safety procedures and traffic regulations at all times.
- Providing additional assistance with dealership operations when requested.
- Working overtime when operational requirements demand it.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or an NQF Level 4 qualification.
- A valid Code 14 driver’s licence.
- A valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- A clear criminal record.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- A professional attitude with excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
