Job Overview
Voltex (Pty) Ltd is looking for a dependable and experienced Code 10 Driver to join its Klerksdorp branch. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring that customer orders and stock are delivered and collected safely, accurately and on time.

The driver will report directly to the Branch Manager and will be responsible for the safe operation and general upkeep of the delivery vehicle, as well as supporting the branch’s logistics and warehouse activities.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of transportation, delivery and administrative duties, including:
- Conducting a thorough inspection of the vehicle before every journey and ensuring that it is in a safe and roadworthy condition.
- Immediately reporting vehicle defects, breakdowns, accidents or other concerns to the Branch Manager.
- Planning delivery routes effectively and using GPS technology to identify suitable and efficient routes to various destinations.
- Loading stock in cooperation with the Dispatch Clerk and checking that the goods loaded correspond correctly with the relevant delivery documentation.
- Ensuring that stock is transported and delivered safely and securely to the correct customers.
- Completing and submitting delivery documentation, reports and other relevant administrative records accurately.
- Obtaining customer signatures as confirmation that goods have been successfully received.
- Communicating professionally with customers and assisting with delivery-related queries or complaints.
- Escalating unresolved customer or delivery issues to the Branch Manager.
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation of the delivery vehicle.
- Monitoring vehicle maintenance requirements and informing the Operations Manager when the vehicle is due for servicing.
- Keeping accurate records relating to deliveries and collections.
- Reporting any problems encountered during deliveries promptly to the Branch Manager.
- Following all applicable workplace, road safety, security and company procedures.
- Wearing and using the required protective clothing and complying with relevant safety standards.
- Taking appropriate care of company stock, equipment and the assigned vehicle at all times.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants interested in the Driver Code 10 position should meet the following requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent is essential.
- A valid Code 10 driver’s licence is required.
- A valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP) is essential.
- At least 3 years of driving experience.
- Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation technology.
- Knowledge and understanding of warehouse and stock-handling processes.
- Knowledge of relevant workplace and road safety standards.
- Understanding of the importance of appropriate protective clothing and safe working practices.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work responsibly and manage delivery schedules effectively.
