About the Role
As a Barista, you will be the face of our establishment. You will do more than just make coffee; you will help create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps clients returning. Your day-to-day tasks will involve preparing a variety of beverages, serving light meals, and ensuring that every interaction is professional and friendly. You will work closely with the kitchen team to maintain a seamless workflow, from restocking supplies to sanitizing equipment.

Key Responsibilities (Duties and Tasks)
To excel in this role, you will be responsible for a range of tasks that require both speed and attention to detail. Your primary duties will include:
· Client Service & Engagement: Greeting and serving clients with a pleasant demeanor, ensuring a high-quality customer experience from the moment they walk in.
· Beverage Preparation: Expertly preparing and serving a wide variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffees (espresso, cappuccino, latte), teas, smoothies, and milkshakes.
· Food Service: Serving light meals, pastries, and baked goods, ensuring presentation meets our quality standards.
· Coffee Craftsmanship: Grinding, blending, and brewing coffee beans to our high-quality standards, maintaining consistency in every cup.
· Hygiene & Sanitation: Maintaining the cleanliness of the workstations, dining areas, and kitchen. This includes sanitizing all equipment (espresso machines, grinders, blenders) and utensils according to health regulations.
· Stock Control: Restocking supplies such as cups, lids, milk, and syrups. Assisting in the kitchen with basic food prep as needed to support the team.
· Compliance: Strictly adhering to food safety regulations and quality control standards to ensure the well-being of our clients.
Requirements (Qualifications and Experience)
We are looking for a candidate who not only has the technical skills but also the right personality to fit our team culture. To be considered for this Barista vacancy, you must meet the following criteria:
· Experience: A minimum of 3 – 4 years’ experience as a Barista in a professional restaurant or hospitality environment. We require someone who can hit the ground running.
· Work Ethic: A proven track record of cleaning and maintaining a hygienic workspace. You understand that a clean bar is a sign of a great barista.
· Attitude: A positive attitude, high energy levels, and a pleasant demeanor are non-negotiable. You must enjoy interacting with people.
· Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle busy periods calmly and professionally.
· Communication: Basic reading and writing ability to understand orders, labels, and communicate effectively with the team.
