adidas is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Permanent Part-Timer to join its retail team at Riverstone Mall in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

Key Responsibilities
As a Permanent Part-Timer, you will contribute to the smooth running of the store and assist customers throughout their shopping experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering friendly, knowledgeable and professional service to customers entering the store.
- Welcoming customers and helping them identify products that meet their needs and preferences.
- Assisting customers with product selection and providing relevant information about adidas products.
- Using appropriate sales techniques, including recommending complementary products and suggesting additional items where appropriate.
- Working towards individual and store sales objectives while maintaining a strong customer-service focus.
- Processing customer transactions through the store’s point-of-sale system, including applicable cash and electronic payment transactions.
- Learning to use the point-of-sale system correctly and following all procedures designed to protect transaction accuracy and integrity.
- Supporting stockroom operations by helping move merchandise to the sales floor when additional products are required.
- Assisting with incoming merchandise by checking products and related documentation where required.
- Supporting product ticketing and ensuring merchandise is presented correctly.
- Helping the management team with merchandising and maintaining attractive product displays according to store requirements.
- Keeping the sales area and other relevant parts of the store clean, organised and presentable.
- Assisting with general store maintenance and ensuring customers experience a professional retail environment.
- Protecting company property and following procedures relating to the safekeeping of adidas assets.
- Remaining alert to potential theft or suspicious activity and following the store’s loss-prevention and security procedures.
- Assisting as a front-of-store greeter during particularly busy periods when required.
- Taking part in company training and digital learning opportunities to develop product knowledge and improve role-specific skills.
- Becoming familiar with Power BI tools to better understand store performance, popular products and merchandise that may require additional attention.
- Working cooperatively with colleagues and management to achieve store objectives.
Requirements
Applicants should have a Matric certificate and ideally have between 0 and 1 year of retail experience.
Previous experience in fashion retail would be beneficial, although it is not an essential requirement. adidas is looking for candidates who demonstrate the potential to learn, contribute and develop within the retail environment.
