Main Duties
As a General Worker / Truck Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring freight is moved safely and efficiently throughout the delivery process. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries.
- Moving goods safely between vehicles and storage areas.
- Helping drivers during deliveries to customer locations.
- Ensuring cargo is properly secured before transportation.
- Keeping work areas clean and organised.
- Supporting warehouse and transport operations when needed.
- Following company safety procedures during daily tasks.
- Reporting any damaged goods or safety concerns.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid Code 10 driver’s licence.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Good English communication skills.
- Able to read and understand work instructions.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual work.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working under pressure.
- Willing to work overtime when operational demands require it.
- Available to work flexible or extended hours.
- Honest, reliable, and professional.
- Own transport to and from work.
Working Hours
Normal working hours are:
Monday to Friday
07:00 – 17:00
Additional overtime may be required depending on operational requirements.
