Job Description
Dunns, a leading brand within Pepkor Speciality, is looking for a dynamic and customer-oriented P40 Sales Assistant to join their team in Springs. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving turnover, maintaining merchandise standards, and delivering exceptional service to every customer.
This role is ideal for an individual with previous sales floor experience who is ready to contribute to a high-energy retail environment while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Service
· Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
· Provide a superior customer service experience at all times
· Engage with customers to understand their needs and promote products
· Build and maintain positive relationships with clientele
Store Operations
· Ensure correct administration procedures for stock room management
· Process mark-downs and lay-byes accurately
· Maintain effective merchandise replenishment on the sales floor
· Execute store/department layouts as per company guidelines
Asset Protection & Compliance
· Protect all company assets including stock, cash, physical assets, and staff
· Safeguard customer interests through ethical practices
· Implement company policies and procedures consistently
· Maintain high levels of integrity and confidentiality
Housekeeping & Merchandising
· Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing
· Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control
· Pay attention to detail in all merchandising activities
Minimum Requirements
Education
· Matric (Grade 12) – Essential
Experience
· Previous sales experience – Required
· Retail or customer-facing environment experience preferred
Competencies & Skills
· Strong customer service orientation
· Ability to work collaboratively within a team
· Effective planning and daily task management
· Computer literacy – Basic proficiency
· High level of attention to detail
· Excellent communication skills (verbal and interpersonal)
· Ability to handle stress and pressure
· Demonstrates initiative and a high level of integrity
