Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce fresh bakery products according to company recipes and standards
- Bake a variety of products including breads, pastries, rolls, and other baked goods
- Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Ensure bakery displays remain fully stocked and visually appealing
- Follow production schedules to meet daily operational requirements
- Reduce waste by managing ingredients and production effectively
- Maintain cleanliness within bakery workstations and equipment areas
- Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation standards
- Assist in creating a positive customer experience through quality products
- Support and guide bakery assistants where required
- Follow occupational health and safety procedures within the workplace
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification
- Relevant bakery or food preparation certificate will be advantageous
- Previous experience working in a bakery or retail baking environment
- Experience preparing and baking various bakery products
- Understanding of food preparation and presentation methods
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards
