About the Role
The successful candidate will assist with the daily maintenance and upkeep of the nursery and surrounding property. This hands-on position involves maintaining gardens and lawns, repairing equipment and infrastructure, supporting irrigation systems, operating machinery, and helping with general operational duties.

Key Responsibilities
The General Worker will be expected to perform a variety of tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of the nursery, including:
- Maintaining lawns by cutting grass and keeping outdoor areas neat
- Cleaning gardens, pathways, and surrounding workspaces
- Applying herbicides, pesticides, and other approved chemicals while following safety procedures
- Repairing irrigation systems, pipes, nursery tables, protective nets, and other infrastructure
- Operating tractors and basic maintenance equipment where required
- Assisting with loading and unloading materials and supplies
- Carrying out general maintenance tasks assigned by supervisors
- Looking after tools and equipment by cleaning, storing, and using them correctly

Minimum Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Previous experience performing manual labour
- Experience operating a tractor
- Basic understanding of irrigation systems and maintenance work
- Knowledge of gardening equipment and general repair work
- Ability to safely handle agricultural chemicals
- Good physical fitness and stamina
- Reliable and dependable work ethic
- Ability to work independently when required
- Practical problem-solving abilities
