About the Role
As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods from the store to customers while ensuring every delivery is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. You will also help with loading and unloading deliveries, inspect the vehicle before each trip, and report any maintenance issues that may affect safe operations.
The role requires someone who understands the importance of protecting company assets, providing outstanding customer service, and following all road safety regulations.
Main Responsibilities
Your daily duties may include:
- Deliver customer orders safely and efficiently.
- Ensure goods are loaded securely before leaving the store.
- Assist with supervising and participating in loading activities.
- Prevent product damage during transportation.
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections before each trip.
- Report vehicle defects or mechanical problems promptly.
- Keep the assigned vehicle clean and well maintained.
- Ensure customers receive the correct products and quantities.
- Obtain all required delivery authorisations and signatures.
- Collect cash-on-delivery (COD) payments where required.
- Provide professional and friendly customer service.
- Follow company procedures and road safety regulations at all times.
- Support initiatives that reduce vehicle operating costs.
- Represent BUCO positively while interacting with customers.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
- Valid Code 10 driving licence for heavy vehicles (9,001–16,000 kg) or Code 8 licence where applicable.
- At least two years of relevant driving experience.
- Good knowledge of road safety rules and defensive driving practices.
- Ability to work responsibly with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physically fit and able to assist with loading and unloading goods.
- Honest, reliable, and committed to safe working practices.
