The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a meticulous and dependable Despatch Clerk to join our fast-paced warehouse team in Johannesburg. This is not merely a “shipping” role; it is a keystone position in our operational integrity. What You Will Do: The Core Responsibilities
You will be the guardian of the final mile, ensuring that every item leaving our warehouse reaches its destination accurately, safely, and on time. Your daily rhythm will involve:
· Order Processing & Verification: You will begin each day by printing the daily order list and picking slips. Your critical eye will ensure that pickers draw the correct stock, verifying quantities and stock codes against picking slips, invoices, and sales order acknowledgements. Accuracy is non-negotiable.
· Dispatch Logistics & Planning: You will strategically plan and arrange deliveries to customers, printing delivery notes and ensuring all supporting documentation—including Certificates of Analysis (COA’s), Trecards, and SOS forms—is attached where applicable.
· Compliance & Safety Oversight: You will ensure all vehicles undergo rigorous checks and inspections, adhering strictly to transport guidelines and regulations. Safety is a cultural pillar at SOLEVO, and you will be its frontline advocate.
· Returns & Proof of Delivery (POD) Management: You will manage goods return notes for all products and equipment slated for return, attaching them to the relevant PODs. Crucially, you will scan all PODs to the shared drive (S:Drive) and submit them daily to Customer Service.
· Inventory Accountability: You will guarantee that every good leaving the warehouse—including customer collections—is accounted for by a system-generated delivery note. No product moves without a digital footprint.
· Issue Resolution & Communication: When missing or damaged goods arise (and they will), you will not hide the problem. You will resolve issues or escalate them immediately to the Warehouse Manager, informing stakeholders as needed.
· Team Collaboration & Cleanliness: You will maintain impeccable housekeeping standards, attend and actively participate in weekly toolbox talks, and assist with stock takes as required. You will also uphold—and expect others to uphold—all company policies and procedures.

Non-Negotiable Requirements (Must-Have):
· Grade 12 (Matric): A completed secondary education is required.
· Valid Forklift Licence: You must possess a current, valid license to operate a forklift.
· Medical Fitness: You must be medically fit to operate a forklift in a commercial warehouse environment, as this role involves active equipment use.
