Purpose of the Role
The Stock Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records and supporting daily store operations. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure all stock-related activities are processed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor the accuracy of the stock ledger
- Identify stock discrepancies and take corrective action
- Ensure all stock movements are recorded accurately and timeously
- Capture service department production on internal systems
- Maintain consistent stock availability within the store
- Conduct daily receiving checks with management
Minimum Requirements
- National Senior Certificate (Matric)
- 1–2 years’ relevant experience
- Experience in retail or furniture environment will be advantageous
Preferred Qualifications
- Administration or Sales Management training
- Trainee Manager development training
- Cost Control Diploma
Skills and Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Basic knowledge of retail operations
- Good organizational and administrative skills
