Key Responsibilities
The Shop Assistant Cashier will play an important role in ensuring that customers receive efficient and professional service from the moment they enter the store until their purchases have been completed.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Operating the point-of-sale system efficiently and processing customer purchases accurately.
- Scanning products correctly and ensuring that payments are handled according to company procedures.
- Managing cash responsibly and following the required controls for the safe handling of money.
- Assisting customers with queries and providing a welcoming, professional service at the till and throughout the store.
- Promoting the Clicks ClubCard programme and encouraging eligible customers to become members.
- Processing ClubCard-related rewards and ensuring that customers receive the appropriate benefits.
- Informing shoppers about current promotions, special offers and relevant products.
- Helping create a positive customer experience by representing the Clicks brand in a professional and friendly manner.
- Keeping merchandise properly presented and maintaining the required visual merchandising standards.
- Assisting with stock-related activities and following established stock management procedures.
- Performing general housekeeping duties to help maintain a clean, organised and appealing store environment.
- Keeping up to date with products, product ranges, promotions and store events so that accurate information can be provided to customers.
- Following operational procedures and instructions while completing assigned tasks efficiently.
- Supporting the wider store team whenever required to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Minimum Requirements
Education:
- Grade 12 / Matric is essential.
Experience:
