Job Overview
A retail opportunity is available for a Sales Assistant at a Baby City store in Sandton. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, supporting daily store operations, and ensuring shelves are fully stocked and well-presented.
✅ Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Up to 6 months retail experience
- At least 1 year general work experience in retail

Key Duties
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damages, or expired items
- Assist with stocktaking and inventory control
- Help with loading and offloading deliveries
- Keep shelves clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Ensure correct pricing, labels, and promotional displays
- Handle payments (cash, card, vouchers, etc.) accurately
- Provide helpful and friendly customer service
- Resolve customer queries and escalate issues when needed
- Support promotional campaigns and merchandising activities
Skills & Competencies
- Good communication skills (English)
- Strong customer service approach
- Basic computer and numerical skills
- Honest, reliable, and responsible
- Ability to manage time and solve problems
Important Conditions
- Must be willing to work retail hours (including weekends)
- South African citizen
- Clear criminal and credit record required
