Job Overview
A permanent opportunity is available for a General Worker (Warehouse) at Premier’s Vereeniging Mill. This role focuses on supporting daily warehouse operations by ensuring products are packed correctly, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with general tasks to keep the department running smoothly.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow all workplace safety standards and procedures
- Maintain high housekeeping standards within the warehouse
- Pack products according to required specifications
- Assist with stock picking and pallet stacking
- Perform basic inspections and identify damaged goods
- Repack damaged stock when necessary
- Wash and maintain company trucks when required
- Support general warehouse operations as needed
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) with basic numerical skills
- 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse or similar environment
Skills and Competencies
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude
- Basic knowledge of warehouse equipment
- High level of accountability and reliability
