Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for transporting customer cargo safely and efficiently while complying with company procedures and road safety regulations. Daily responsibilities include:
- Collecting and delivering customer cargo to various destinations.
- Conducting daily vehicle pre-trip inspections before beginning each shift.
- Reporting mechanical faults or vehicle defects immediately when identified.
- Ensuring cargo is loaded and offloaded carefully to prevent damage.
- Confirming delivery and collection addresses before travelling.
- Maintaining regular communication with the depot throughout the working day.
- Completing scheduled collections and deliveries within agreed timeframes.
- Keeping assigned trucks and trailers clean and presentable.
- Accurately completing proof of delivery documents, delivery records, and collection paperwork.
- Following company safety standards and maintaining a professional image when dealing with customers.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid Code 14 driver’s licence with no endorsements.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Between three and five years of relevant heavy vehicle driving experience.
- Good reading, writing, and communication skills.

- Good knowledge of roads and routes across Gauteng.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
