Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support the delivery team by carrying out a variety of operational duties, including:
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of stock for daily deliveries.
- Helping ensure customer orders are delivered according to scheduled routes.
- Handling products carefully to minimise damage during transportation.
- Checking delivery documentation before vehicles leave the distribution point.
- Confirming delivery information with customers when required.
- Providing courteous and professional service during customer interactions.
- Reporting any delivery-related concerns or customer issues to the driver or supervisor.
- Following delivery instructions and assisting the driver throughout the route.
- Wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while on duty.
- Complying with workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
- Reporting accidents, hazards, or safety concerns immediately.
- Supporting transport compliance and company operational standards.
- Participating in training initiatives to improve delivery knowledge and workplace performance.
- Working effectively as part of a team to ensure daily delivery targets are achieved.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Between one and two years of experience in a delivery, warehouse, or distribution environment.
- Physically fit and able to lift and move stock safely.
- Legal authorisation to work in South Africa.
- Willingness to work flexible hours when operational requirements demand.
- Ability to perform duties in different weather conditions.
